It all started when Mona Shaikh…a bold, fearless stand-up comedian who’s appeared on MSNBC, CNN, NBC, and been featured in the LA Times, LA Weekly, and more.. found herself deep in the strange, jargon-filled rabbit hole known as Web3.

She wasn’t new to shaking things up. As the creator of the hit comedy show Minority Reportz, which sold out at The Comedy Store and showcased voices of women of color and first-gen immigrants, Mona had built a reputation for using comedy to smash taboos and spotlight the stories mainstream media ignored.

But after sitting through one too many Web3 panels where everyone said “mass adoption” and no one explained what the hell a “layer 2 rollup” was, Mona had a thought:

“This sh*t is hilarious. And also… no one normal understands any of it.”

So, she did what any visionary comic with a mic and a mission would do…She launched a roast.

Web3 Is a Joke was born to demystify the blockchain, decenter the bros, and make crypto, AI, Web3, and the Metaverse actually entertaining.

Imagine top-tier comedians + savage satire + Web3’s weirdest buzzwords… all mixed with a live audience of founders, influencers, investors, and poor souls still holding $DOGE.
